our story
Wine, dine, discover
A little hidden gem in Harties, nestled within Estate d’Afrique, our restaurant and wine bar enjoys sweeping views over the dam and the surrounding mountains. Although we are situated on the estate, we welcome non-residents by reservation from Thursday to Sunday.
Start the day with coffee and breakfast until 11h30, with illy coffee served exclusively. From late morning, settle in for small plates, sharing boards, fresh salads, wraps, burgers, pizzas and grills. As the day unfolds, enjoy tapas and bubbles on the terrace at sunset, leisurely afternoons on the patio in the winter sun, or cosy evenings beside the fireplace.
Wine is at the heart of what we do. Our extensive wine list is complemented by thoughtful pairing suggestions throughout the menu, as well as regular wine tastings. Throughout the year we host monthly winemaker dinners featuring celebrated estates including Waterford, Tokara, La Motte, Mont Rochelle, Anthonij Rupert Wyne and Creation. These evenings typically pair four courses with five wines.
Each March, our annual sabrage. Wine Festival brings wine estates from across the Cape to our terrace for a celebration of wine, food and the art of sabrage.
The calendar is marked by seasonal favourites and special occasions, from winter warmers and Sunday roasts to Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas lunch and New Year’s Eve. Our venue also provides a beautiful setting for intimate gatherings and larger celebrations of up to 80 guests. For weddings and special occasions, our signature sabrage moments, opening Champagne with a sabre, add an unforgettable touch of theatre to the celebration.
We are proud to have been included in the 2026 Eat Out Neighbourhood Gems list, brought to you by Woolworths.
