ABOUT THE ESTATE
The Islands Estate is built around approximately six kilometres of navigable canals, linked to Hartbeespoort Dam by a patented bi-directional lock system.
Canal-front homes have private jetties, so residents can take a boat from their own jetty through the lock and out onto the dam. The estate also has off-canal freehold stands, and describes itself as the only inland canal and waterfront lifestyle estate.
The Baybridge canal alone has 165 canal-front stands, and Marine Island has 40 double-storey sectional title homes. The Islands Estate Homeowners Association runs the estate.
