The Pick n Pay Harties and PSG Insure Vleisfees returns to the Hoërskool Hartbeespoort rugby field on Saturday 10 October, and it is built to hold a family for the whole day.
The morning opens with a 5km fun run at nine, dogs welcome, and from there the festival proper gets going: potjiekos, exotic meats, food stalls, arts and crafts stalls and a fun park for the children with jumping castles.
The music runs through the afternoon and into the evening, with Leah at three, Die Piesangskille at five and Riaan Benadé at seven. Mr and Miss Harties are crowned during the day and the Young Designers winners are announced.
Bring a camp chair. Food and fun park tickets are sold at the festival, parking is secure, and you may bring your own cooler box for R100.
