Welcome to Harties is Africa

Welcome to Harties is Africa. Located on the banks of the Magalies River and shadowed by the majestic Magaliesberg mountains, our five luxury safari tents, two luxury caravans and rooms are hidden amongst a canopy of indigenous trees overlooking the savanna grasslands.

The property offers an experience close to the city but out of this world, with dense African bush, open grassland and riverine vegetation, and streams flowing from the mountain into the Hartbeespoort dam. Close to Johannesburg and Pretoria, and a world away from both.

Nestled in the foothills of the Magalies mountain, our lodge offers affordable self catering accommodation, ideal for friends and family groups looking for a weekend getaway surrounded by peace and tranquility.

This natural setting and tranquil environment, on the banks of the Magalies river, makes Harties is Africa the ideal setting to embrace your love for one another and exchange your vows.

Conferencing and functions
The property offers an array of conferencing and function setups. We can cater for up to 150 guests at a time, with lunch venues available on the River Reed Boma. Catering runs to continental breakfast, buffet lunch, snack platters and traditional African boma braais.

Luxury tents, caravans and the lodge
Five luxury safari tents and two luxury caravans amongst the indigenous trees, plus a self catering lodge in the foothills of the Magalies mountain for friends and family groups.

Massages from a 30 minute back and neck to a 60 minute hot stone for couples, body scrubs and wraps, back facials, and express or classic manicures and pedicures. Pre-booking only.
